Around Sorrento and Amalfi Coast
At about fifty miles from south of Naples lies the Sorrento Peninsula, which together Isle of Capri, seems to draw an exclamation point that juts out towards the sea Tirreno. Vico Equense is situated at the foot of Mount Faito halfway between Sorrento and Castellammare di Stabia, on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea of the Gulf of Naples. It 's a very popular tourist resort for its long and beautiful coastline, full of small coves and beautiful beaches. The town retains many of its past: the former Cathedral or church of the Castle Giusso, the Antiquarian and the prestigious Museum Mineralogical Campano.
Sorrento is one of the most beautiful and famous towns on the Sorrento peninsula that from Vico Equense to Sant'Agata dei Due Golfi offers a series of splendid location between trees, gardens, flowers, cliffs and sea lanes.
Walking through streets of Sorrento, that every year are crowded by tourists from all regions of Italy, you can notice that one of the typical products of the place is the famous Sorrento lemon unique scent and from which we get the much sought limoncello, also the manufacture of lace and wood inlaid here have very ancient origins.
From a historical and artistic point of view the Duomo, Palazzo Correale and the Correale Museum are very interesting.
Massa Lubrense is located at the corner of Sorrento, where the two coasts, the Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast come together and where the Punta Campanella projecting into the sea, bowing very close to the majestic beauty of Capri and the waters separating the two bays Naples and Salerno.
